Food Product Supervision in East Jakarta Finds No Hazardous Substances

Joint personnel conducted foodstuff supervision at five modern markets in East Jakarta. As a result, no hazardous materials or chemicals were found.

East Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto the five modern markets are Tip Top Pondok Bambu, Farmers Family, Superindo Pondok Bambu, Yogya Pondok Bambu, and Naga Jatiwaringin.
"We took 47 samples to be checked on laboratory," he said, Thursday (6/26).
Foodstuff Supervision Held at Five Traditional Markets in East JakartaTaufik explained that the samples taken consisted of 37 agricultural commodities and 10 livestock products, such as vegetables, fruit, chicken and beef.
"We checked the ingredients of Pesticide Residue, Formalin, and Eber. All were safe for consumption," he added.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Food Security and Agriculture Section Head, Hendra Juniarto, stated 28 joint personnel were deployed during the supervision.
They were East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency, KPKP Agency, Korwas PPNS Polda Metro Jaya, East Jakarta Mayor's Economy Division, Durent Sawit District, PPKUKM Sub-agency, Satpol PP, Environmental Sub-agency, and so on.
"We appreciate to the managers of the five modern markets who continue to maintain the quality of the food products. Of course this makes consumers safe and comfortable," he stated.
